The Nuu-chah-nulth Tribal Council (NTC) employs more than 150 Indigenous and non-Indigenous people in small and medium-sized communities across Vancouver Island.

Our dedicated staff delivers a wide range of services to 14 Nuu-chah-nulth First Nations, including health care, educational support, child and family services, community news reporting…and much more.

Early Years Outreach Worker (Port Alberni)

The Nuu-chah-nulth Tribal Council’s Child & Youth Services Department is seeking a permanent, full-time Early Years Outreach Worker. This position is a key resource to support families (with children 0 - 18) in meeting their child’s health, developmental, social, and emotional goals; and strengthening the parent’s confidence and skills in parenting. Based out of Port Alberni, the Early Years Outreach Worker will do home visits with parents to address concerns regarding child development. This position requires travel into remote communities including on gravel road, by boat, float plane and helicopter.

Community Health / Home Care Nurse

The Nuu-chah-nulth Tribal Council (NTC) is seeking a full-time 1-year term Registered Nurse in the dual-role of Community Health/Home Care Nurse. Resolution Health Support Worker (Port Alberni)

The Nuu-chah-nulth Tribal Council Teechuktl (Mental Health) Program is seeking a term (to March 31, 2026), full-time Resolution Health Support Worker to provide cultural and emotional support to residential school survivors and their families. This position also provides support completing Day Scholar and Indian Day School applications in community, and in urban settings. This position is based out of Port Alberni, and requires travel (including on gravel road, by boat, airplane and helicopter) into Southern and Northern Region communities.

DTES Outreach Worker

The Nuu-chah-nulth Tribal Council (NTC) is seeking a term (to March 31, 2027), full time Downtown East Side Outreach Worker to do outreach, establish relationships, conduct wellness checks with Nuu-chah-nulth people at risk and living in the East Vancouver community. Under the day-to-day supervision of the All Nations Outreach Society this outreach worker will help people struggling with addictions and will provide holistic and ongoing support to those ready to heal. This position will work occasional evenings and weekends and in some cases support Nuu-chah-nulth-aht to travel home to reconnect to families and their communities.

Community Health- Home Care Nurse Northern Region

The Nuu-chah-nulth Tribal Council (NTC) is seeking a permanent, full time Registered Nurse to provide a full continuum of Community Health and Home Care Nursing services to individuals in a variety of community based settings in NTC’s Northern Region territory. Our Nursing services follow the Nuu-chah-nulth Nursing framework that ensures culturally safe, relational, reflective and trauma informed Nursing Practice. This position is based out of Campbell River (NTC Northern Region Office). Travel to remote communities (Mowachaht-Muchalaht First Nations two days a week and Zeballos two days a week) with an overnight stay in community is required. Travel is by vehicle (Logging gravel road), helicopter, floatplane and boat. This position operates on 4 days a week (Mondays through Thursdays) schedule. Daily scheduled hours are 9.75, inclusive of a one-hour meal break.
