The Nuu-chah-nulth Tribal Council (NTC) employs more than 150 Indigenous and non-Indigenous people in small and medium-sized communities across Vancouver Island.

Our dedicated staff delivers a wide range of services to 14 Nuu-chah-nulth First Nations, including health care, educational support, child and family services, community news reporting…and much more.

Our employees work and travel in some of the most beautiful areas of the West Coast, including Tofino, Ucluelet, Port Alberni, Zeballos, Gold River, and Hot Springs Cove; as well as historical First Nations communities that only a select few are lucky enough to have a chance to visit in a lifetime.

Supported Trauma Informed Behavioural Support Worker

The Nuu-chah-nulth Tribal Council (NTC) Usma Child and Family Services program is seeking a full-time Supported Trauma Informed Behavioral Support (STIBS) Worker for a maternity backfill through September 30, 2027. Based in Port Alberni, BC, this role supports Nuu-chah-nulth children, youth, and families involved with the Usma program who have experienced intergenerational trauma. The STIBS Worker provides individualized (1:1) social and emotional learning support to referred children and youth and works collaboratively with families and the Usma team. This position reports to the Care Support Team Leader and is required to travel to 14 Nuu-chah-nulth communities (by vehicle, boat, airplane and helicopter).

Fisheries Biologist (Term, Nootka Sound and Kyuquot Sound)

Uu-a-thluk, the Nuu-chah-nulth Tribal Council (NTC) Fisheries Program, is seeking an experienced Fisheries Biologist to work with Nuu-chah-nulth First Nations in an exciting and challenging environment. This full-time, 12-month term (for backfill purposes) position supports the fisheries programs of the four Nuu-chah-nulth Nations in the NTC’s Northern Region and works with management and technical staff of federal and provincial governments and organizations. The successful applicant will assist Nuu-chah-nulth Nations to achieve objectives for increased participation in fisheries harvest and management, and improved management of fisheries resources and habitat. The position supports the development and implementation of Aboriginal rights-based fisheries to increase Nuu-chah-nulth economic fisheries access as well as the Nations’ Food and Ceremonial fisheries.
This position is based in Campbell River, BC.

DTES Outreach Worker

The Nuu-chah-nulth Tribal Council (NTC) is seeking a term (to March 31, 2027), full time Downtown East Side Outreach Worker to do outreach, establish relationships, conduct wellness checks with Nuu-chah-nulth people at risk and living in the East Vancouver community. Under the day-to-day supervision of the All Nations Outreach Society this outreach worker will help people struggling with addictions and will provide holistic and ongoing support to those ready to heal. This position will work occasional evenings and weekends and in some cases support Nuu-chah-nulth-aht to travel home to reconnect to families and their communities.

Community Health- Home Care Nurse Northern Region

The Nuu-chah-nulth Tribal Council (NTC) is seeking a permanent, full time Registered Nurse to provide a full continuum of Community Health and Home Care Nursing services to individuals in a variety of community based settings in NTC’s Northern Region territory. Our Nursing services follow the Nuu-chah-nulth Nursing framework that ensures culturally safe, relational, reflective and trauma informed Nursing Practice. This position is based out of Campbell River (NTC Northern Region Office). Travel to remote communities (Mowachaht-Muchalaht First Nations two days a week and Zeballos two days a week) with an overnight stay in community is required. Travel is by vehicle (Logging gravel road), helicopter, floatplane and boat. This position operates on 4 days a week (Mondays through Thursdays) schedule. Daily scheduled hours are 9.75, inclusive of a one-hour meal break.
