Mission Statement:
The Nuu-chah-nulth Tribal Council (NTC) is a vehicle to attract and retain qualified personnel and to assist employees in developing the skills and abilities necessary to fulfil the current and future capacity-building needs of Nuu-chah-nulth Communities.
The Human Resource Committee will provide direction and guidance to the NTC Executive Director and/or Human Resource Manager on personnel issues. In order to promote efficiency and a productive working environment for all Tribal Council employees.
The Human Resource Committee will have the oversight mandate in regards to all Tribal Council employees for the following: Interviews, hiring, reclassifications/promotions, appeals, evaluations, disciplinary action, lay-off or terminations, grievances, job descriptions, benefits review, personnel policy review and recommendations, and the development of recommendations to NTC.
