NTC Post Secondary Program Information
The Post Secondary Funding Program provides support for programs which are a minimum of 1 academic year in length and have transferability to recognized Public BC Institution.
The NTC provides tuition and living support for qualified members of the Nuu chah nulth First Nations. Post Secondary Education Staff use the Post Secondary Policy to administer this program, and it runs on a fiscal year basis.
Every year current and prospective students will have two opportunities to apply for funding through the NTC. Students who are planning on beginning their studies in September MUST submit a complete P/S funding application to the NTC or to their Nation by January 31st @ 4:30pm, those who wish to begin their studies in January MUST submit a complete P/S funding application to the NTC by August 1st @ 4:30pm. Funding is administered under the direction of the NTC Post Secondary Policy and Procedures Manual. This policy has been set by chief and Council for the 14 Nuu-chah-nulth nations. Please take time to read this information fully. If you have any questions or would like more information, the post-secondary team will be happy to assist you.

Technical Vocational Training
Students who want to pursue fields that do not fall under the post-secondary funding program (as outlined @ the top of the page), are encouraged to submit an application for Technical Vocational Training (TVT) Funding. TVT funding provides students with Living Allowance – ONLY. TVT students are responsible for obtaining alternative funding for tuition, books and supplies. Other funding sources to explore include; Scholarships and bursaries from outside organizations; http://www.aboriginalcanada.gc.ca

As the P/S department is always changing and trying out innovative and exciting ways to reach our students, we have now joined the “Facebook Revolution”.
Our group page is titled “Nuu-chah-nulth Tribal Council Post Secondary Education Department” and we encourage all students to join in us in this new form of communication.
The P/S Facebook page is a community of students and NTC P/S staff (as well as staff from other institutions) and is a place to share current information regarding post-secondary deadlines, events and other important information that may effect you.
We encourage you all to join - if you have already signed-up please encourage all the friends and family you may also have in funding
to make use of this great resource tool as well.
