Nuu-chah-nulth Nursing Program provides Naloxone Kits and Training
Nuu-chah-nulth Nursing Program Urges Distribution of Naloxone Kits

(Port Alberni, B.C.) Overdoses are happening in our communities. Consider any street drugs as unsafe. People are overdosing on something they do not even know is in what they are taking. Many overdoses are fentanyl and it has been found in drugs labelled as cocaine, heroin, ecstasy and all other street drugs. You will not know if the drug can cause a fatal overdose. You can save lives. We urgently request that if you are aware of someone using street drugs, that you are trained in the use of Naloxone. Training and kits are free through the NTC Nursing Program.

Training about the use of Naloxone to reverse the effects of drug overdoses is available through the NTC Nursing program. If you or your community or organization is interested in learning how to use the Naloxone Kit, please contact the NTC Nursing program at 250.724.5757.
